Legal basis: Paragraph 5.1.28 of the Ordinance of the Council of Ministers on current and periodical information provided by issuers of securities dated 16 October 2001 The report: The Management Board of Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski Spółka Akcyjna hereby informs that on 7 April 2005 the Supervisory Board of PKO BP SA has selected an entity authorized to audit Bank’s financial statements. This entity is Ernst & Young Audit Sp. z o. o. with the registered head office in Warsaw, at the address – Emili Plater Street No 53, and entered the list of entities authorized to audit financial statements (maintained by the National Council of Certified Accountants) under the number 130. Ernst & Young Audit Sp. z o. o. was selected by the Bank’s Supervisory Board in compliance with the applicable regulations and standards, on the basis of authority arising from paragraph 15 item 1 point 3 Statute of the Bank, after the presentation of the internal Selection Commission’s recommendation. The agreement is to be made for a period of auditing Bank’s financial statements for financial years 2005 – 2007 according to the IFS. Ernst & Young Audit Sp. z o. o. has performed the following services for PKO BP SA: audit of the financial reports for years 2002 -2004, audit of the financial reports in a standard required to be included in a prospectus together with giving the required pronouncements for aims of a prospectus’ preparation , supporting services referring to the implementation of an effective interest rate, valuation and presentation of derivatives and the implementation of credit portfolio valuation according to IAS no 39.
