Legal basis: Paragraph 5.1.22 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance on current and periodical information provided by issuers of securities of 19 October 2005 The report: The Management Board of Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski Spółka Akcyjna hereby informs that on 11 April 2008 Mr. Jerzy Pruski has been appointed by the Supervisory Board to the position of the President of PKO BP SA Management Board as of 20 May 2008 for the joint term of office of the board which has started on 20 May 2008. The Supervisory Board appointed Mr. Jerzy Pruski the President of the Management Board from 20 May 2008 to the day of the approval by the Commission for Banking Supervision Mr. Pruski to be the President of PKO BP SA Management Board. Information about the appointed Management Board Member: Jerzy Pruski He was born in Pabianice on March 15, 1959. He graduated in economics from Lodz University in 1983, and in 1989 earned a Ph.D. in economics. Since 1983, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Economics of Lodz University. In 1989, he completed a research internship at Oslo University, and in 1990 a one-year course at Windsor University in Canada. He has participated in numerous Polish and foreign research programmes on monetary policy and banking system. The main focus of his academic work lies in macroeconomics, finance and banking. In the years 1991-97, he worked at LG PetroBank, holding a number of posts including that of Vice President of the Management Board. Appointed by the Parliament in 1998, he was a member of the National Bank of Poland Monetary Policy Council till 2004. In the years 2004 – 2008 first deputy governor at the National Bank of Poland. The Management Board of PKO BP SA currently has no information referred to in paragraph 28.5 and 28.6 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance on current and periodical information provided by issuers of securities of 19 October 2005.
